Scaffolding Centenary Quay

In a significant development for Southampton's urban landscape, our valued customers, The SCA Group has undertaken a massive scaffolding project at Centenary Quay. Commencing on 5th February 2024, this ambitious venture marks one of SCA's most substantial operations to date.

Project

Altrad Generation Bournemouth has played a crucial role in this project by supplying a wide range of scaffolding supplies. This includes essential equipment such as tubes, fittings, boards, beams, ladders, and bespoke stair towers, all tailored to meet the unique requirements of the Centenary Quays housing development project. The collaboration with Altrad Generation has enabled SCA to implement a meticulous delivery schedule, ensuring that all necessary equipment is available on-site precisely when needed, thus minimising delays and optimising efficiency.

The Centenary Quay Project is a transformative £500 million development spanning 31 acres in Southampton, designed to create 1,620 affordable new homes. This ambitious initiative aims to rejuvenate the Woolston suburb, integrating modern living spaces with vibrant community amenities. Strategically located along the picturesque banks of the River Itchen, Centenary Quay not only addresses the pressing demand for affordable housing in the region but also enhances the local environment with thoughtfully designed public spaces. The project promises to foster a sense of community while contributing significantly to the urban landscape, making it a cornerstone of Southampton's ongoing regeneration efforts.

As the project continues to unfold, SCA is making steady progress at Centenary Quays. Their expert management and execution of this complex scaffolding operation have been crucial in keeping the renovation works on schedule.

As Southampton’s skyline undergoes this transformative process, Altrad Generation are proud to support SCA's role in the Centenary Quays project which stands as a testament to the critical importance of skilled scaffolding in modern construction and renovation endeavours.
