Ninja Warrior Production Set

Ninja Warrior Production Set

Generation Hire & Sale Stockport were approached by their client to provide a solution to erect the final obstacle of the highly successful television programme Ninja Warrior UK.

Project

Project

They needed to provide a 23m high, freestanding structure in order to create the famous scene referred to as Mount Midoriyama; whilst complying with the required specification of the UK production set. This was a huge challenge for Generation Stockport, however, they knew exactly what was needed to make this project a success and instantly rose to the challenge!

The client discussed various schemes and systems with numerous hire companies but decided the best course of action was to utilise the Generation Altrad Futuro system. The main factor that contributed to our client choosing the Altrad Futuro system was the tight timescales that needed to be met.

With Futuro being 50% quicker to erect than Lok systems and 300% faster than tube fittings and boards, it was clear that the Futuro system was the best option, offering our client the advantage of speed and ease of erection and dismantling.

As well as being quicker to erect and dismantle, the lightweight nature of the components was also a contributor to the decision. The ninja warrior tower was to be built internally, so all the components had to be manhandled to the work face before being fixed in position.

Our client said:

“The final deciding factor for choosing Altrad Futuro and to work with Generation Hire & Sale was sales representative, Paul Holmes. His Enthusiasm towards the project was second to none, partnered with his assurances of vehicle deliveries meeting the strict time slots, levels of stock being available at short notice and his assistance in providing the relevant documents at short notice…”

Due to the success of the first project, their client teamed up with Generation again to provide the same job for the second series, achieving the same brilliant results. At Generation, we cannot deny the advantages that Futuro has to offer in the ever-changing world of Scaffolding.
