Project
Generation knew the best product for the job was the Generation UNI Roof.
Generation worked very closely with the client on the design stage and then to the construction of the roof. By working closely with the client, Generation were able to identify the main areas of concern and work with their client’s needs accordingly. This led to Generation supplying 2 specialist roof sheets to ensure the 55m long building was protected. The specialist roof sheeting allowed the natural light transmission to shine through, improving safety and reducing the need for interior lighting.
Due to the shape and nature of the building, the UNI Roof required a steep pitch, which would have meant higher costs for the client. However, Generation was able to overcome this problem by using a 36-degree ridge connection; ensuring that the temporary roof followed the line of the existing roof as much as possible. This saved the client costs, as the scaffold to support the roof didn’t have to go as high as it otherwise would have.
The nature of this project required a safe and cost-effective temporary roof system that could be erected and dismantled with minimum impact to the grade II listed building. We are pleased that Generation Hire & Sale was able to provide the necessary service to make this project a success.
