Universal Friction Clamp

The Universal Friction Clamp can be fitted to horizontal, inclined or vertical tubular member of any diameter from 500mm upwards. Although it will have some resistance to loading applied parallel to the axis of the tubular member, it is intended to support loading applied at right angles to the axis.

Maximum permissible applied load 3.kN and out of balance moment of 4.5kNm when applied as illustrated.

To Calculate the length of chain required on a friction clamp:
Pipe Dia. x 3.14 x 2 = min chain length
