Materials & Sizes
Timber Scaffold Boards are lightweight and relatively inexpensive, making them a popular choice for short-term projects. Their easy handling and transport facilitate quick installation and removal, which is ideal for temporary setups. All of our timber scaffold boards are sourced from PEFC certified suppliers and are made to BS 2482:2009 standards.
Sizes: The main difference between the 1.2m and 1.5m support scaffold boards lies in their target span and load-bearing capabilities. 1.5m support boards are designed for a longer target span and can support heavier loads compared to 1.2m boards of the same length. However, both are sturdy, high quality scaffold boards that comply with British safety standards.
Plastic Scaffold Boards typically offer a longer lifespan than timber as they are resistant to water, decay, and various substances. Like timber, they are lightweight ensuring easy transport and installation, while providing a durable option for various construction needs.
Galvanised Steel Boards stand out for their strength, significantly surpassing both timber and plastic in load-bearing capacity, making them suitable for heavy-duty applications. They boast a long service life due to their resistance to warping, cracking, and rotting, and can withstand harsh weather conditions without deterioration. Although they are heavier than timber and plastic, the minimal maintenance requirements of galvanised steel make it a practical choice for long-term use.
